Use residual wax for creative play - don't dispose!

Do not dispose of Lotus wax!
Clean residual wax is excellently suitable for casting candles.

What you need:
a pot full of water, a can, empty yoghurt goblets or bought moulds, wick, a strong needle, sticks to suspend the wicks, wax crayons (if you want vivid colours), and wax from the Lotuscandle® or also from other candles.

And here is how to do it :

Das brauchen Sie zum Kerzenmachen

So schmelzen Sie Restwachs richtig Dochtaufhängung und Dochtführung Einfärben des Waches mit Wachsmalstiften
Heat up the residual wax in the water bath. Never do so direct in the pot because of the fire hazard!
Empty cans can be shaped into useful pouring vessels.
Use a strong needle to pull the wick through the bottom of the goblet and fix it on a stick. The wick hanging from the stick must be right in the center of the goblet or mould.   If required: Create vivid colours by cutting wax crayon snips into the liquid wax.

Now the molten wax is ready for casting - either in a single colour or in multicolour layers.   Casting layers takes longer - each layer must cool down so as to prevent mixing with the next layer to be added.   Wax shrinks considerably from cooling and can form cavities. Therefore you should punch holes into the bottom as it cools.

After cooling, pour liquid wax to fill the bottom cavity. Before, you should cut the suspended wick and pour wax to cover the wick. This will make a perfect candle bottom.   And this are the results.   Residual wax can also be cast into slabs from which interesting candles can be made.
